Owner Comments
I got this for Christmas from my parents probably 8 years ago. I use this ice fishing all the time and have never had a problem with it. I've never used it to cook but I'm sure you could easily. I was fishing next to some other friends in their icehouse a few years ago and they were making sausage and eggs while fishing. It might be a little hard to fine tune to your desired cooking temperature though but that's just me guessing. I've used this to heat my old ice house and my current one as well, I've used it with 20lb propane tanks back when I first got it but now I've gotten in the habit of using 1lb bottles just because they are easier to haul around. I turn mine on for 5-10 minutes and my ice house warms up pretty fast and then I turn it off for about an hour. I've left it on for extended periods and ice fished in a t-shirt though. I almost always just run it on low and stay dressed half decent to save on propane even though these don't drain the bottles to fast anyways. I bought the mr heater refill adapter for filling the 1lb bottles to help save on the cost of those and the amount of waste going into landfills.
